Mycetoma, is a general name for two types of diseases, Actinomycetoma that is caused by bacteria, and Eumycetoma that is coused by fungi. both of the diseases look the same. Mycetoma, is in the equatorial regions of Africa, Latin America, and Asia known as the mycetoma belt. mycetoma, is more common in men then in women and is mostly in pepole who work with soil and water. mycetoma, can cause many physical disabilities. mycetoma is usualy when the skin tissues are broken and exposed to soil or water, these germs can enter through wounds or other small skin injuries, like a thorn prick.

Medical treatment

therepy against mycetoma is limited, the treatment of mycetoma, may differ depending on the type(Actinomycetoma\Eumycetoma).

Actinomycetoma

Actinomycetoma is usually treatable with antibiotics, and surgery is usually not needed.

Eumycetoma

Eumycetoma is usually treated with long-term antifungal medicine. However, this treatment may not be completely effective. Sometimes surgery or amputation are necessary to cut away the infected tissue.

Prevention​

try to prevent skin contact with soil and water in the equatorial regions.

Puumala virus is a Hantavirus that is caused from wild rats, mice, and pets (hamsters, guinea pigs) around Europe and asia. and causes clinical illness in humans. during the past few decades the number of recorded cases of Puumala have been increassing which have been cousing trouble for healthcare systems. Hantavirus infecton cause 2 well-defined clinical syndromes: hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome, that is mostly found, and cardiopulmonary syndrome. Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome is charcterized by renal failure, thrombocytopenia, and a mortality rates of 0.1-0.4%. hantavirus cardiopulmonary syndrome is characterized by severe involvement of the respiratory and circulatory systems and case-fatality rates >30%.

Medical treatment

Talaromyces marneffei is a type of thermally dimorphic fungus which is common in south east asia and can cause Talaromycosis and mostly affects pepole with weakend immune system. it causes fungal invasions on multipale organ systems mostly blood, bone marrow, skin, lungs, and reticuloendothelial tissues, and is highly fatal. this disease is found predominantly in AIDS patients and occasionally those with cell-mediated immunodeficiencies. in the past five years there were only 37 recorded cases of none aids patients of Talaromycosis. some symptoms include Fever General discomfort, Weight loss, Cough or shortness of breath, Swollen lymph, nodes, liver or spleen, Diarrhea and Abdominal pain.

Medical treatment

if you are sick with Talaromycosis then consult a professinal first. then you can treat Talaromyces marneffei with taking prescription antifungal medicine. The most common treatments are amphotericin B and itraconazole. you can also take voriconazole or posaconazole.

Prevention​

if you are at high risk then a good medicine to take is itraconazole is most common but you can also take antifungal.

aspergillus is a type fungus or mold that’s found across the world, and if inhaled can cause aspergillosis.

people with weakened imune systems or lung diseases are at most risk when in close proxsimity to aspergillus fungi.

Medical treatment

to treat aspergillosis consult a professional. treatment of aspergilusis usually consists of taking a anti-bacterial medicine such as voriconazole.

Prevention​

to prevent aspergillusis mitigate skin contact with dust and soil. if there’s a risk for aspergillus then you should wear a N95 respirator. and it is important that any skin injuries are cleaned with soap and water to avoid skin infections
